Technical support

Westpoint’s full technical support service covers most hardware and software requirements, and this can be provided on-site or via the Internet remotely.

The service can begin with installation and customer training, and there is a choice of ongoing support contracts available, or we are pleased to provide an ad hoc service.

Onsite service and repair

Westpoint always recognised the importance of providing services and support with its products and solutions. This now accounts for a significant part of its business. The technical staff provide both pre sales consultancy, installation and a full Customer Support Service for hardware and software products. This includes both on-site cover and telephone support .

In-house repair

A fully equipped depot repair service is available for a wide range of half inch 9 track, 18 track and 36 track tape units. Westpoint is the European repair centre for several US manufacturers such as OVERLAND DATA and STORAGETEK.

Westpoint repair and upgrade a variety of Optical Jukeboxes including NSM, JVC, KODAK, PIONEER, DISC and PLASMON units.

Data conversion and interchange

Westpoint operate a Data/Media Conversion Bureau and many major corpoate companies are regular users of these services.

Equipment rental

Westpoint supply rentals of Jukebox and Tape systems. A wide range of units is available to suit your needs from a spare unit while yours is repaired, to providing a solution for the migration of data for short term contract.

Bespoke systems and storage design

Westpoint has over 20 years experience in the design and provision of data storage solutions. We specialise in the migration of data and long term management of archives.
