The innovative Blu-ray Disc technology with a storage capacity of 50 GB (Single Sided) and a data transfer rate of 9 MB/s is designed to support your growing storage needs.  Offering unprecedented storage capacity, fast transfers and high reliability, Blu-ray is the market leading technology for professional archival storage and Data Lifecycle Management solutions.

Blu-ray features two different media types. A BD-R WORM disc offers a write once storage media which is mandatory by a lot of compliance regulations like SEC, GDpdU, Hipaaa and more.  A media life time of more than 50 years and the write once security feature make the BD-R WORM technology suitable for all kinds of Fixed Content solutions.

The BD-RE Rewritable disc offers the possibility to rewrite your discs more than 10,000 times.  With a storage capacity similar to the BD-R WORM disc of 50 GB (Single Sided) and the high transfer speed of 9 MB/s it is suitable solution for HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management), DLM (Data Lifecycle Management), Backup or any kind of near line secondary storage application.

The "Armour Plated" coating which is specially designed for high capacity blue laser discs protect the Blu-ray media against dust, scratches and any other physical effects.
