IXOS ECR software is the foundation upon which all of the
other IXOS solutions are built. The IXOS suite for MS Exchange and Lotus Notes are part
of a broad product portfolio of proven Electronic Content
Management (ECM) solutions. Almost 3,000 installations world
wide support nearly 2 million users with the IXOS ECM
product.
Electronic messages are automatically or interactively
archived from the email system to external DVD storage media
thereby assuring compliance with legal requirements. Up
to 90% of space is regained on the servers and users
mailboxes.
An important feature of IXOS Suite software is that no
additional client software is needed. This means that installation and implementation in sites with
several thousand users, takes as little as 2 days. When
installed the only change the user will notice is the
appearance of a CD icon in the email subject heading. This
indicates that the email has been archived. Training can be
accomplished by sending an explanatory email to all users
and the new system soon becomes part of everyone's daily
routine.
