Our Background:

Westpoint Peripherals Ltd was formed in 1985 with a staff of experienced computer professionals having a specialised knowledge of Data Storage Solutions.

Our Location:

The Company operates from its spacious office premises and provides a pleasant working environment, situated on a green field site near Bristol Airport on the southern outskirts of the city. The location supports excellent demonstration facilities for all the Company's products and services.
 
Our Products and Solutions:

Westpoint first established itself as a leading supplier of compact desktop mainframe compatible tape systems, for mini and micro computers that were used to downsize mainframe applications onto smaller computer systems. Several hundred tape solutions incorporating Westpoint’s specially developed data interchange software were installed at top UK Companies and Government departments. Today Westpoint still supports these legacy tape systems alongside their IBM S/390 mainframe connectivity products.

In 1992 Westpoint introduced Optical Storage Solutions following the appointment as UK Distributor for NSM Jukebox, a leading German manufacturer of CD Jukeboxes. Westpoint developed CD Jukebox Solutions incorporating Jukebox Management Software from leading developers such as Smart Storage, iXOS Jukeman and Point Software. The company gained a particular expertise in providing Archiving Solutions to the publishing and professional photographic markets. When JVC later introduced their range DVD Jukeboxes, Westpoint became JVC's value added distributor for the UK.

Westpoint is now firmly focused on long term fixed content storage solutions which are installed and supported in many top UK Companies and Government departments. The company maintains a close relationship with its partners JVC and Point Software, which enables it to respond to specific market requirement for fixed content storage.
 

Westpoint has been providing optical solutions for storage and data distribution since 1990. Customers can reliably access their optical archives created over 15 years ago. 

Westpoint is also a pioneer in the development of a system which encrypts sensitive financial data  held on mainframe computers and is distributed on a monthly CD sent to 50 regional offices. The security of customers data has always been a very high priority at Westpoint.

Westpoint has developed its expertise over many years  and currently provides the latest technologies such as Blu-ray Archiving Solutions for the Corporate Network.

Westpoint has a great support team for both hardware and software. Products are offered with optional on-site support contracts to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
